Pack Your Bags!

A couple of days ago Kristal and I went out for Chinese food to celebrate the last day of her practicum. This is what my fortune cookie had to say.

Quite appropriate seeing as we are preparing to leave in the next few days. That's right, we are hitting the road again!

Over the last eight months Kristal has been busy getting her Bachelors of Education and I have been busy, well, doing laundry and washing dishes it seems. I've also been busy with my other hobby, building custom LEGO models. One of the models I built, a working Marble Maze game, is currently on the LEGO CUUSOO site trying to gather enough support to become an actual set released by LEGO.

If you have a minute, and think it's a good idea, I would obviously appreciate your support!

You can check it out and add your support here: http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/14605

We've also been keeping up with the climbing of course. Mostly in the gym through the winter, but we've also been able to get outside quite a bit already this year. We made it down to Tennessee for a week in January and managed a couple of extended weekend trips to the Adirondacks over the last couple of months.

Now that Kristal is finished school we are planning to head west for most of the next few months. We don't really have much of a plan, but we'll probably start in Arizona and California, trying to find destinations that aren't too hot, and make our way north to British Columbia and Alberta by the end of the summer.

Hopefully I'll be able to write some blog posts on the way again. It might be a while for the first real post, as our first stop is down to the Allemann farm for a quick visit and to outfit the car, followed by the long trip across the continent.

Stay tuned!
